Another important period in the history of hospital is 1980s. Due to new advances in technology and new government regulations a 3.4 million dollar bond was proposed by the Board of Trustees and approved by voters. It helped to provide people with more services and meet all the latest regulations. It should be mentioned that the number of beds was reduced to 67 because the hospital wanted to keep up with out-patient services.
